Can I compress a PDF below 200 KB or 500 KB?
You can select an optional target, but reaching it is not guaranteed. The result depends on the source file, page count and image content. The tool reports whether the target was met.
Will compression keep selectable text?
Keep selectable text mode optimizes PDF structure. Scanned-document modes rebuild pages as images, removing selectable text, links, forms and signatures.
What happens if compression makes the file larger?
PDFDesk keeps the original when the processed version is larger. A PDF that is already optimized may not shrink.
Where are my documents processed?
This tool processes your files locally in your browser. Document contents are not uploaded to a server. The website host still receives ordinary connection information when you open the page.
